Trapped in a Castle of Dreams
A Tale of Desperate Escapes and Forgotten Realities
She woke up in a comfortable bed; she thought one more morning with the same wish. She turned gently, squeezed her pillow, and imagined the world outside this castle. She wants to trick guards into getting out of this castle and, once at least once, make some memories outside the castle.
Slowly but eventually, she realised the reality, and this is a beautiful but scary thought to see outside. Loyal and Royal Guards are everywhere; hungry tigers will hunt me down and bring me back where I do not belong. I have to pretend I am happy and want to remain here for my whole painful life.
She turned again slowly and gently (she was daydreaming as she was outside the castle), she was far from this castle, and no is there to keep reminding her about the castle.
What am I doing? (she thought); the sudden realisation made her sad; she wondered if her mind was playing tricks on herself, which brought her even more sorrow.
No, she was not outside. He strolled towards the window. There were a lot of soiled, half-eaten receptacles on the table: half a chicken leg, some moist carrots, and a rotten egg. It was given off a rather strong smell. He unlocked one of the drawers and witnessed a pile of papers with Crow’s letterhead. A lustrous, glittering something fetched his vision. Carrying a compacter eye, he uncovered a pair of gold rings.
“What am I doing here?” she wondered. “Why am I here? How did I get aboard a vessel to get far from here?”. She strained her brain for some answers, which aggravated her skull.
She decided to look around and walked towards the door. She unlocked it and unexpectedly blurted out and clutched her head. Her head was throbbing.
She closed his eyes and tried to quiet his mind. A sudden vision of a forest came to mind — an image of a boy smiling in the epicentre.
An explosion that corrupted the serenity of the image. She screamed and fumbled to the floor, unable to defend herself.
